First Days in the Greenhouse

With all of these farmers hard at work, it won't be long before
these tables are taken over by lush seedlings.

Here are first year farmers San Win and Ah Tun seeding their first round of greenhouse
plants.  Look for these onions in a few months at the Waldo Farmers' Market!

As part of the program, farmers are required to save 20% of their total sales.  These savings,
along with CSA money, allows Maku to rent greenhouse space and pay for seeds and potting soil.

Advanced farmers like Zawadi and Nyakang are pretty independent in the
greenhouse.  They decide how much of each crop to grow, and are
responsible for keeping their seedlings watered and healthy.
