Fall Fun

So far, September has been a fun month at the farm and at the office. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended San Win's cooking demonstration at Catholic Charities on Saturday September 1! The group enjoyed fried onion fritters, chin baung soup, sauteed water spinach and noodle beans, vegetable stir fry, and spicy catfish. San Win enjoyed cooking for everyone and was happy to share a few of her favorite recipes.

Our next cooking demonstration is set for 4:00pm on Saturday, October 6. Farmer Nyakang will prepare a Sudanese specialty called Kup Gomin, and we hope to see you there! RSVP to Marianne at m.olneyhamel@gmail.com to reserve your spot in advance (we'll remind you again when the date gets closer.)

Sauteed veggies, catfish, and onion fritters over rice - yum!

Labor Day was our Fall Fest at the Juniper Gardens Greenmarket, and it was a great success. Customers and farmers enjoyed music, delicious food provided by our farmers, local Beans & Greens meat cooked on the grill, and face painting. Thanks to all who stopped by!

Markets will close in a few short weeks, so make sure to stop by and stock up on the last of the summer crop and some delicious fall vegetables.
